The Suriname Investment and Trade Agency (SITA) is the national Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Suriname. Operating as an independent state-owned company under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business, and International Cooperation, SITA aims to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and support foreign investors in establishing their businesses in Suriname. Additionally, SITA promotes Surinamese exports, helping local companies form international commercial ties and facilitating the export of products by international investors. Investment opportunity profiles are provided, as well as assistance in securing resources, and the promotion of joint ventures between local and overseas interests. Additionally,  focus is placed on export promotion by providing trade information, aiding exporters in exhibitions and trade missions, and addressing export-related issues. Advice is provided to the government on national investment and export policies, ensuring effective policy implementation.
