International Business Conference 2025 Launches in Suriname, Focusing on Regional Growth and Collaboration
The Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) is pleased to announce the launch of the International Business Conference (IBC) 2025, scheduled to take place from February 4-6, 2025, at the Assuria Event Center in Paramaribo. Following the success of IBC Guyana earlier this year, the event will convene influential leaders from various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, finance, technology, and policy, bringing together key stakeholders to drive business opportunities and economic growth across the region.
Under the theme, “Unlocking the Potential of Suriname: A Path Towards Growth and Prosperity,” IBC 2025 will emphasize topics critical to the economic advancement of Suriname, Guyana, and the wider Caribbean region. With Suriname’s recent Final Investment Decision (FID) marking a pivotal moment in its economic landscape, the conference is strategically positioned to spotlight burgeoning investment opportunities and partnerships. Attendees can expect engaging sessions, keynote presentations and networking opportunities that aim to foster collaboration, strengthen regional partnerships, and promote investment.
At the launch, Guyana’s Ambassador to Suriname, H.E. Virjanand Depoo, and Suriname’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation, Rishma N. Kuldipsingh, emphasized cross-border collaboration as vital for sustainable growth. SGCC Vice Chair Derrick Klaverweide hailed IBC as a prime platform for transformative partnerships, while SGCC CEO Rahul Lildhar underscored its focus on driving impactful business deals. SITA CEO Amar Alakhramsing highlighted the event’s role in connecting Surinamese SMEs with a global network, unlocking growth opportunities.
The conference invites participants to mark their calendars and secure their spots early. Interested attendees can contact the event team directly. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative event aimed at shaping the future of business and investment in Suriname and beyond.
