Rosalyn Wiese is Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo, Suriname. A career Foreign Service Officer, she brings foreign policy expertise from postings in Colombia, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Afghanistan, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Mexico, along with Washington experience in Congressional liaison and children’s issues. Her background in cross-border consular affairs, law enforcement, and public diplomacy positions her to speak knowledgeably on the role of regional cooperation to strengthen trade, investment, and business ties between Suriname, Guyana, and the region. Ms. Wiese holds degrees from George Washington University and Barry University and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
